Emanuel Degiorgio and his wife moved to Canada for a better life. While there, he worked as a janitor. Upon returning to Malta, he noticed a demand for cleaning services and founded Bad Boy.
Bad Boy Cleaners inaugurated its inaugural office space in Valletta, employing a team of 12 individuals. Instantly, the company commenced collaborations with esteemed organizations.
Throughout this period, the company expanded its workforce to over 60 employees. We also were contracted to clean various public spaces including bus stops, government departments, several churches, & the Mdina Catacombs.
Over the course of this decade, the company's workforce expanded to encompass more than 100 employees. Additionally, we secured the tender to provide services at the former Malta Airport in Luqa.
The company experienced growth, leading to an increase in its workforce and diversification into various service sectors. During this decade, Bad Boy relocated its offices to Ta Xbiex and extended its operational footprint in the area.
Bad Boy Cleaners successfully secured the contract for servicing Malta's general hospital, Mater Dei, a partnership that endured for 14 years. Shortly thereafter, we triumphed in securing a new contract to maintain the cleanliness of the Malta International Airport.
During this phase, the company experienced significant expansion, and alongside its affiliated sister company, was selected to provide services to numerous 7-star hotels, opulent residences of influential figures and luxurious complexes.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Bad Boy Cleaners adapts by offering specialized disinfection and sanitization services.
We have expanded our scope of social responsibility initiatives, reaching out to benefit society at large. This includes extending our services to government housing, elderly homes, and animal sanctuaries.
In the present day, Employee 1000 stands as a testament to our continued growth and dedication. Serving numerous prestigious establishments such as hotels, banks, offices, and homes across Malta.
Our workforce is the backbone of Bad Boy Cleaners, driving our success through their dedication and commitment. Emanuel’s journey sprouted from modest roots, spending his early years vending magazines at Valletta market, a city deeply ingrained in his soul. Driven by a desire to provide for himself and his wife, they embarked on a journey to Canada in pursuit of a brighter future. There, Emanuel toiled as a janitor, laying the groundwork for what would eventually evolve into Bad Boy Cleaners. Despite the challenges, he boldly launched the first cleaning enterprise on the island. Over 54 years, his vision burgeoned into Malta’s premier and most enduring cleaning company.
In June 2023, Emanuel bid farewell, leaving behind a legacy that transcends time. He was more than a founder; he was a trailblazer, a luminary, a beacon of leadership, and an exceptional mentor whose spirit continues to inspire us all.
