Driven by Corporate and Social Responsibility, we are dedicated to enhancing communities and fostering positive societal and environmental change.

Being a corporately responsible organisation is not an obligation, but, throughout our 55 years in business, we always understood our duty to give back to society by applying our large workforce, tools, and principles to good causes, targeting specific areas of importance to us and our staff.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility

Our operations are moving towards a fully paperless system. We are in the process of introducing electric vehicles to our fleet. In addition, all our products are environmentally friendly and all waste is disposed of appropriately. As an organisation, we recognise the harm of single-use plastics on the environment and our health and are working to replace these with materials that are not damaging to marine life, human health, and society.

Our CSR journey began in 1969 when CEO Emanuel Degiorgio volunteered at the Mdina Catacombs. Since then, we have supported various social causes:

We volunteered at animal shelters like CSAF, AAA, and RMJ’s Horse Rescue, where a number of employees helped with grooming, feeding, and facility cleaning. We also donated 30 sanitiser dispensers and nearly €3,000.

Our efforts extend to the Millennium Chapel in St Julian’s, donating preserved foods with help from all staff. Bad Boy Cleaners also donated non-perishable foods to the Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, supported by Calypso Radio's 24-hour donation drive.

The team dedicated 250 hours to Dar tal-Providenza and additional hours to YMCA and private homes. We provided a post-construction deep clean for Mtarfa Home for the elderly and supported Caritas housing with janitors, supplies, and machinery.

Additionally, we assisted soup kitchens by cleaning, disinfecting, and serving food.

In early 2020, following the COVID-19 outbreak, we retained all staff with government support and redirected our efforts towards CSR initiatives to help those in need.

Over 100 team members participated in landscaping, cleaning, and disinfecting 10 local councils across Malta, including Valletta, Gzira, Dingli, Rabat, Isla, Birgu, Luqa, Siggiewi, and Msida. We also disinfected government housing and landscaped outdoor areas at no cost.

We donated safety equipment like gloves, sanitiser, masks, and toiletries to several organizations and local councils, contributing over 80,000 voluntary hours to the cause.
